Frequently Asked Questions

We've answered some of the questions we hear most often to help you feel confident before your first visit. If there's anything we haven't covered, you’ll find a link to contact us at the end.

I'm new to the lifestyle. Where should I start?

If you're new to the lifestyle, our Beginner's Guide to Swinging blog is a great place to start.

If you'd like to check out The Rabbit Hole before attending a play party, we recommend coming along to a Meet & Greet. These purely social events are a great opportunity to have a look around the venue, meet the hosts and members, ask questions, and get a feel for the atmosphere. No play is permitted, so there's no pressure or expectations. With the exception of solo men, you do not need to be a member to be invited to our Meet & Greet.

Of course, attending a Meet & Greet is entirely optional. Plenty of members choose to make a play party their very first Rabbit Hole event.

Do I have to play at a play party?

Not at all.

Sometimes members come simply to socialise, enjoy the atmosphere, have a few drinks, or catch up with friends. There's never any expectation to do anything you're not comfortable with.

Whether you come to mingle, watch, flirt, or play, the choice is always yours. Consent is at the heart of everything we do.

How do I become a member?

The Rabbit Hole Adelaide is a curated private members lifestyle club. We're intentionally selective to ensure members align with our values and contribute positively to the atmosphere and experience we strive to create. If you are well-presented, fun, friendly, polite and respectful, you’ll likely be a great fit.

Membership is free, but approval – and ongoing membership – is at our discretion.

Simply complete the application form on our Membership page.

Can I attend on my own?

Yes! Many of our members attend events on their own. Once approved, solo women, non-binary people, and couples or throuples/plus ones can simply book into any event they're eligible to attend.

If you're a solo man, please see the next question.

Are single men welcome?

Absolutely!

If you'd like to attend solo, you'll first need to attend an Information Night for Men, even if you've previously attended The Rabbit Hole as part of a couple. These sessions are listed on our Events page whenever they're scheduled.

Single men are also welcome as the guest of an approved couple, provided you all arrive and leave together, as the couple is vouching for you.

To create the best experience for everyone, we aim to maintain a balanced gender ratio at most events, unless an event has been intentionally designed otherwise.

Are you LGBTQI+ friendly?

Absolutely!

The Rabbit Hole is an inclusive club, and we don't discriminate against any demographic as a whole. We welcome people from many different backgrounds, identities, sexualities, and relationship styles.

Is everyone welcome at every event?

No — and that's by design.

The Rabbit Hole offers a wide variety of curated events, each with its own purpose, atmosphere, and boundaries. Whether it's Under 35s, Over 35s, Newbies Nights, Girls Nights, Rainbow Parties, or our regular lifestyle parties, each offers a unique experience and have different entry requirements or play expectations.

Our goal isn't to make every event suit everyone—it's to offer a diverse range of experiences. Variety is the spice of life.

What do I do if I feel uncomfortable?

No one should ever feel pressured to do anything they don’t want to do.

Consent is at the heart of everything we do at The Rabbit Hole. We follow the FRIES model: consent must be Freely given, Reversible, Informed, Enthusiastic, and Specific.

There are designated No Play areas around the venue where you can just relax and chill. Our easily identifiable hosts are always on hand to support you with any concerns. We are friendly and approachable, respectful and professional.

What is the Dress Code?

Dress to impress. The Rabbit Hole experience is designed to be sexy, stylish and sophisticated. Our dress code is an important part of creating and maintaining that atmosphere for everyone.

Think date night, or cocktail bar. Button-up shirts, sexy dresses, blouses, halter necks, dress pants, dark jeans, heels, boots, and polished dress shoes are all great choices. Leather, lace, corsets, lingerie, and fetish-inspired looks are welcome too.

What doesn't work? T-shirts, shorts, sportswear, work boots, casual summer dresses, sneakers, canvas shoes, thongs, or anything that looks like you didn't put much thought into it.

When in doubt, dress up, not down. Guests who do not meet our dress standards may be refused entry.

What should I bring, and what do you supply?

Please bring your own alcohol, any preferred condoms and lube, and any toys or BDSM gear you'd like to use. We also have a small selection of toys available if you'd like to try something new.

We'll take care of the rest. The Rabbit Hole is stocked with regular, large, and X-large latex condoms, dams, lube, wipes, clean sheets, towels, water, soft drinks, tea, coffee, and light nibbles. There's also a large commercial fridge for your own drinks, along with glasses and ice.

Our cosy change room has plenty of lockers for your valuables, and throughout the venue you'll find plenty of equipment to enjoy, including a pool table, a pole dance pole, sex swings, and massage tables. Check out our gallery on the home page.

Most importantly, bring your manners, your respect, and your sense of fun!

What is the age range of your members?

Most of our members are in their mid-twenties to late-fifties, with some younger and older members as well. Confidence, personality, presentation, and attitude matter far more than age.

If you look under 21, please bring photo ID, as we may ask to see it on arrival.

Where are you?

The Rabbit Hole Adelaide is located approximately 10 minutes north-east of the Adelaide CBD. The exact address is provided to approved members when you book into an event.

There is plenty of nearby parking available.

If you’re travelling from further away, there are several accommodation options within a short drive. We often recommend The Highlander Hotel, The Walkers Arms Hotel, or North Adelaide for a wider range of dining and accommodation options.

Still have questions?

We're always happy to help. Get in touch with us, or come along to one of our Meet & Greets where our hosts and members are happy to answer questions and help you feel at ease.
